happy monday and all that kids,

yes it's only a 4 day work week both this week and next RECOGNIZE THAT!

i'll be heading off to Jozi tomorrow night so all y'all prepare for my arrival.

anyway I wanted aunty to do this post but she's still off in China having the most fun.

hoping she brings me some head bitch gifts ;)

so what's all this about anyway? well Mr Spoek Mathambo has been a friend of mine since I was a kid, and a friend of DOE's for a while now. He's just embarked of a solo project with a totally fresh band. SPOEK MATHAMBO & MSHINI WAM. The band features friends of DOE Jakob Snake & Richard The Third.

Spoek asked me to help with building the costumes for this video, first for the band. We had smallest budget but a fucking great team so thanks for all the help, and BIG UP PUMA for hooking us up. so anyway this was my first project actually building costumes as opposed to styling, also first Anthea X Spoek project.

i know you know by now that i get on a major tangent about something and i want to rant for days. then sometimes i have so many tangents that i don't know which one to grab onto first. i know i haven't told you about all my exciting travel experiences of late but I WILL. in time. for now, so you don't get too bored watch my new favourite music video.

my week

I have NO idea how it got to be Thursday already, but I guess that's nothing to complain about.

I am actually broke so pretty excited for the month to be running away with itself. Got a trip to the bush next week so pretty excited about all that, so good to get out of the city and catch up with friends. Anywaaaaay it's been a pretty good week, got some new gear so that was nice. Am missing aunty though, keep driving past the turnoff to her house and getting emotional!

Tonight we're going to Stellenbosch for first night out there ever, I'm kind of afraid. Have no idea what to expect other than cane & creamsoda. but anywaaaaay.

so you may have noticed I keep loading videos etc, it's also because I have no idea how to use the song player (aunty is the tech support over herrrrre).

so this week has been all about Little Dragon . I am actually mildly obsessed. So here are 2 of my favourite songs. enjoy it, hope it helps you usher in the weekend.

some of you may or may not have noticed that cape town was a little hot over the weekend.

those of you not in cape town just to give you some insight, WE ALMOST DIED OF HEATSTROKE. It was 32 degrees at 22:00 last night, i mean really. anyway hot sundays can go either way can't they? we made it go the right one. afternoon swimming and the most epic evening braai of all time. i really don't want to sound cheezy but there's no other way, it was such a fuckn great day. night swimming at our friends old house which is now his moms office which happens to have an epic view of the whole city and mountain etc. i don't even have pictures. i just wanted to share the pure joy with y'all.

so what's the point of all this? appreciate your friends. get to know people better. open your mind. and swim at night.

it's almost the end of summer, i'm about ready for that, this damn cape town heat is pretty tiring.

alright team i don't have too much to say, looks like i'm about to be broke which isn't a good look.

there are other things that are a good look though, like the orange bomber jacket in this video.

can't tell yet if i'm happy for sad we've moved on from the 90s.

anyway the song is putting me in the best mood.

just a quik note to let you know that our favourite aunty has left us for china for 6 weeks.

aunty & misshotdamn are going to paint the country communist red.

so 2 things: 1 my posts might be slower than usual cause i'm alone, and 2 I WILL MISS AUNTY :(

i googled "going away" and the first picture that came up was this random one, i had to put it up cause i am so confused. if you know what this is let a sister know.
